School Games

At St Edward's we have achieved the GOLD Games award for another year. Thank you to Miss Avery and the team for their hard work.

The six School Games values - Passion, Self-Belief, Respect, Honesty, Determination and Teamwork - were developed by young people to recognise how the experience of sport should be epitomised and embodied within schools, and to reflect the 'spirit' of the School Games.

When children compete they are encouraged to  adopt and demonstrate the 'Spirit of the Games' at all our events. All of the competitions and festivals have adopted one particular ‘focus’ value, where individuals are rewarded for their exceptional demonstration of that value during the event.
