Welcome to our website

Welcome to the St. Edward's Catholic Primary School website. I hope that it provides you with a comprehensive introduction to our values, expectations and ways of working.

The school seeks to guide and nurture children, in partnership with parents, on their journey through their primary school years, thus building the foundations for adult life. Our aim is an ethos where all children are valued and fulfil their potential in a caring, Catholic environment with Christ at the centre.

St. Edward's is now united on one site on the land originally owned by the Convent of the order of St. Paul the Apostle. The Foundress of the order, Sister Genevieve Dupuis, said:

'Do all you can for the children'

Today our school continues with that mission. It aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Catholic belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes values through the experience it offers to all its pupils. We welcome children from all backgrounds and ensure that the family of the school is united with respect for one another. Every child has a valued place within this community, and is encouraged to strive for his/her own personal best.

Education has undergone many recent changes; the staff and governors have worked together to ensure that our wide-ranging curriculum will equip each child for the future, whilst allowing him/her to enjoy the special years of childhood.

We very much hope that you will find your visit to this website useful and informative. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any more information or would like to speak to us.
