Understanding the World

World Bee Day 2020
World Bee Day is celebrated on May 20th with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of protecting and preserving bees and other pollinators. Without bees, we might not have flowers, fruits, vegetables, and other plants. In fact, bees are very important for our eco system.
To celebrate the importance of bees and to raise awareness of them we will be running an art/photography competition for World Bee Day. To enter please create a piece of art celebrating the importance of bees or send a photograph of a bee or other pollinators working hard in your garden/near your home. Please email your photographs or a photo of your artwork to with the heading World Bee Day 2020 Competition. The deadline is Friday, 29th May. A prize will be given to winning entry and two runners up.

Further resources linked to the wonderful world of bees can be found on the Eco Warrior section of the school website.
